This little business came about after I experienced and observed the amazing healing capabilities of crystals. Crystal healing is believed to work on an emotional, spiritual, and physical level.

Working in the allied health industry for over 15 years, I was accustomed to assessing and treating the physical body (this ultimately influenced how I would later utilise crystals for healing). In a nutshell, my job was to restore the alignment of the body and bring it back to balance. Misalignments are indicative of underlying restrictions in the body; this is associated with tension and strain in the tissues, and can present as pain or impaired function in the body. As a result, I had a particular interest in the physical healing aspect of crystals.

One day, out of curiosity, I decided to test a crystal on the physical body; to see what (if anything) would happen. After determining the primary area of restriction on a patient, I held a clear quartz point at this location for about 5-10min. I then reassessed and much to my surprise and shock, the body (namely the pelvis and leg lengths) had shifted back into alignment and balance. From my background in the health field, I was able to recognise and discern the remarkable effect crystals have on the body.

I want to stress and make clear, however, that the area of restriction does not necessarily mean the area of pain. This is a reflection of the interconnectedness of the human body; whereby one part of the body will impact other parts, demonstrating how it compensates and counter-balances tension in the body.

Later, I started to make a crystal oil using crystal chips and essential oils; I then applied this oil over the area of restriction on a patient. I was astonished that this too was able to bring some alignment back to the body (and in doing so, ease the physical tension). So I made some oil samples to give to some of my patients and family members to complement their management, in the hopes of expediting recovery of their condition whilst also allowing me to evaluate the effectiveness of the oils. I realised the inherent energy of crystals could indeed be utilised in crystal oils; a simple, fast, and convenient method of application. The established traditional therapeutic benefit of essential oils was a perfect accompaniment and medium for the crystals. This first oil became what is now known as Ezi-joint™.

Following on from this, a series of oils naturally progressed one after the other. Each distinct blend developed with a purpose. All made with healing intention. This eventually led to the creation of Rok N Oil; the combination of crystals (rocks) and essential oils.
